Tension Taps Internal Talent for Key Positions

Tension Corporation is pleased to announce the advancement of three associates to the roles of vice president of sales, general manager – Fort Worth and general manager – South Hackensack and St. Clair. “These three individuals are leaders,” said Bill Berkley. “They truly embody the company’s commitment to the customer experience and the spirit of ingenuity.”

Toby Reed has been appointed Vice President of sales, envelope division, where he will lead Tension’s nationwide sales team. Reed’s promotion brings inside knowledge and continuity to the company’s sales direction, continued close collaboration between sales, production and administration, and a smooth transition for customers. Reed joined Tension more than a decade ago as the regional sales manager for the Northeast. Most recently he had responsibility for the entire east coast as the general manager of the South Hackensack, New Jersey and St. Clair, Pennsylvania manufacturing and sales offices. His strong sales and leadership abilities, team focus and creativity have positively impacted the entire Tension organization.

Jim Thompson was named General Manager of Tension’s South Hackensack and St. Clair manufacturing and sales offices. Since joining Tension in 2007, Thompson has been instrumental in expanding Tension’s business in the East, most recently serving as the East Coast regional sales manager. During his time with Tension, Thompson has driven significant growth in the direct mail segment, Tension Direct and related products.

Tim Plunk has been promoted to General Manager of Tension’s Fort Worth, Texas envelope manufacturing and sales office. Plunk has more than 13 years combined experience at Tension, serving as the regional sales manager for Texas and the Southern regions and previously as an account executive. His unrelenting focus and passion for creating meaningful customer relationships has earned him the confidence and trust of the industry, his customers and team.
